Chasing 2 to 1

On December 13th 2012 I started a journey that really would change my mind forever. To understand how the transformation came to be I would have to fill you in on a myriad of details about my adult life... instead of putting anyone else through that torture ill sum it up with some key points like this...

- I once met a Russian who weighed 65kg and could bench 130kg for 3 reps....  - I went from 83kg to 63kg without exercise, just clean eating and intermittent fasting - I had been off of anti-depressants for 1 year but it had left me in a state of anxiety often unable to leave the house

- Heavy press movements would make me happy for days

How it would work

And that is how it all started... I would train 2-3x per week, usually as soon as the DOMS subsided I would train again. I noticed that if I got to a 4th day of not training that my mental health would start to deteriorate. So it became simple, Benchpress allowed me to function with a good balance of chemicals in my brain. I started setting short & long term goals relating to training to keep me motivated.. the long term goal being to bench 2 to 1.
